Oregon Coast Community College provides personalized academic advising and support through its Student Success Coaching model. Students begin working with a Success Coach prior to enrollment, often while still attending a local high school, and continue working with that same Coach throughout their time at OCCC.
Success Coaches serve as a consistent point of contact, supporting students with academic planning, decision‑making, and navigating college processes to promote progress toward educational and career goals.
Students may schedule appointments with a Success Coach for assistance with:
- Course placement
- Academic concerns
- College success strategies and resources
- Degree requirements
- Financial aid
- Academic progress appeals
- College policies and procedures
- Review of unofficial transcripts
